3am thoughts of a slash-hound

Needing to be cheered up, I ended up raiding the old stories on the aadslash archive. Usually when the slash yen hits I head over to Britslash, Fabulae or ORP in search of stories I haven't read before, or hope that Maureen, Emma or Claire have posted something new on aadslash... but sometimes... well, I guess the familiar old stories are the literary equivilant of the comfy old jumper you put on when you're a bit down in the mouth. Familiar, and comfortable, but still as uplifting and special as the first time you encountered it.
It's the same as watching a favourite movie, or digging out that old book you read to death as a teenager (for me, that's The Melanie Pluckrose Effect), something that gives you that comforting feeling that all is right with the world.
Additional: Yes, I'm well aware that it's now been nearly a year since I updated the archive, god help me... I've got a few fics ready to go up now... but don't hold your breath, eh? ;)
