I went swimming this morning. Managed five lengths before I was completely tuckered - not bad for someone who's been pretty much sedentry since the mid 90's!

It was just the action of doing something so far out of my normal routine... although I'm hoping to make it routine.

I went with dad into Ballymena after I got home - he had to go to county hall for something or other, so I took the opportunity to pick up a form to apply for my driving licence. Yes folks, the moose is getting back behind the wheel... I only hope this time I make it as far as one full lesson!

Picked up the video of love actually too... more for mum than me, since I already have it *winks at madscot*. Mum doesn't like watching things on the computer screen, it hurts her eyes.

Heh, I can feel muscles I'd forgotten I had! I don't feel as bad as I thought I would... I was pretty sensible, I know I'm unfit - hardly surprising when you've not been out of the house for a couple of years - so I took it pretty easy. It was good to be back in the water though, I've always enjoyed swimming :)

Oh, Love Actually. Saw that in the cinema with friends. Couldn't believe the stupid woman who turned down the gorgeous Karl. In his boxers. In her bedroom. In his boxers!

...Though she had to take that call, I suppose.

Also, swimming is ace. I must go again at some point, I started going again and experienced the same as you did, only I was so knackered it took me six tries to get out of the pool - at the shallow end.
