No matter how many prosthetics you slap on him, Ardal O'Hanlon will always be Ardal O'Hanlon!
We'd all guessed the Face of Boe's message, hadn't we? Bring on Mister Saxon! :D
Martha has a brain, but very little street-smarts; couldn't she tell the Doctor was heartbroken talking about Gallifrey at the beginning?
I thought it was rather interesting that the occupants of the three featured cars were all very committed couples... (and very cute couples, in the case of Brannigan and Valerie and Mrs and Mrs Cressini) Russell's not beating us over the head with this at all, is he?
The monsters of the week felt... surplus to requirements. We didn't even find out what happened to them! Bit lazy, I thought.
I mean, I know this was all about Martha finding out more about the Doctor, and the Face of Boe and the symbolism of the motorway and the undercity, but not at the loss of the story!
*shakes head*
(The athiest in me also didn't like that the Big Uplifting Momentâ„¢ was a hymn, but I suppose it ties with the heavy-handed Christian symbolism of the whole episode - waiting for the promised land, indeed... sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now!)
Daleks next week... am I the only one getting bored of the daleks? I never thought I'd say that, but I think they're over using them! Ah well...

Date: 2007-04-14 08:01 pm (UTC)Daleks bore me so much. I generally try not to say it too loudly, in case rabid hardcore Doctor Who fans descend upon me and tear me apart.
