First off, madscot, I'm in awe of your last two stories. And what a contrast... from so dark and well... brutal really, to so sweet and quiet. Both beautiful. Didn't say it on the group coz I'm so behind in feedback... *blush*

So... I ate too many dolly mixtures and feel a bit green...

Apart from that, meh... I saw the BBC is running a competition for short story writers. The prize for the top five is to be read on R4... I dunno, I might give it a crack, but I think my muse is dead...

I read Northern Lights. It's extraordinarly dark for a kids book... I think I'd like to read the next two... but I wouldn't let any kids I know near it!
