Blatant Plug...

This is a pretty graphics heavy entry, so I'm LJ cutting it for those, who, like me, are on 33K dialup ;-)
Yes folks, the Writers Group's book, 'Unlocked', is hitting the shelves! We just got the flyers in for the Launch Party tonight, so of course, I had to scan one in and share my excitement ;-) I'm still working on something to read on the 3rd December, but that's beside the point...

Whee! I'm so excited now... I can't wait to acually get my hands on a copy... it'll really be real then!
Oh, and yes, that picture on the back of the flyer is all of us...

There's me, stuck in at the end of the middle row next to lovely Esther - the characters in her stories are so real you think they're about to walk in and sit next to you. That's my good friend Kate at the other end of the row, maintaining the balance of short people! And that's my Dad she's next to, yes, him with the beard :-) Incedentally, the guy next to Dad is David, the best damn poet in the province (Heaney can eat his heart out :-P). The lovely lady in front of me is Priscilla, who basically adopted me when I first joined the group and writes short stories about her beautiful dogs and the local legends. That's Gil next to her, he's the funniest bloke I've ever met, and sharp as a meat cleaver...
I could go on all night, you see what a tight bunch we are. I'm proud as punch to have my odd little poems and story in a book next to these people's fantastic work. I love it when a plan comes together! :-D
